The surfaces of the computer are made of thin plates of aluminium that are shaped by hand. The plates have been anodised to bring out both the comfortable and functional qualities of the metal. During the anodisation process the pores of the aluminium are sealed off making the surface less receptive to dirt and grease and more resistant to scratches.
The anodisation also gives the aluminium a soft and inviting feel. This powerful combination of functionality and comfort is reflected well by the computer's warm and confident glow.
Leather
The underside of the computer is covered with the finest quality of soft, European aniline leather. Only five percent of all rawhides are suitable for making leather of this quality. Due to the light treatment it has been given the leather still ”breathes” and in combination with its softness and natural feel this adds a unique sense of life to the computer.
